It’s been a few months since I last posted. As always with projects like this, progress was fast at the start but it seemed to take forever to get everything finished. However, we got there and in fact we were able to open the Hall for several weeks even before the last job was done.
This week has seen a lot of activity indoors and most of the work is now complete. The electrical switches, sockets, lights and emergency lights have gone in. There is a little more to do in the accessible WC, and then the power can be restored to the building. The radiators have been installed and
Painting of the main hall is now complete, apart from some touching up of doors and architraves. We think Jamie managed to get most of the paint on the walls! Conrad has laid down a 15mm-thick layer of sound and vibration absorbent underlay, and he has started to lay the engineered oak flooring. The
