What you’ve just missed – and what’s coming up!

You’ve missed: Burns Night (28th January). But you can still join us for a Quiz on Saturday 25th March, or an evening of guitar music with Gus Glynn on Saturday 22nd April.

Coming up: the revival of our popular Quiz. This will be held in the Scout Hall on Saturday 25th March, for teams of up to six. The evening will include a two course meal and further details are to come but if you would like to register an interest, please use the contact us page. And then on Saturday 22nd April we will be welcoming Gus Glynn in an event sponsored by Cheshire Rural Touring Arts. Gus is a classically trained fingerstyle guitarist, and he will trace the development of the music we love today from its roots in traditional folk and blues, right through to contemporary classics and all-time favourites. Again, more details to come but please contact us here to register an interest and we will contact you nearer the time. Alternatively you will be able to buy tickets online via the CRTA website at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/cheshireruraltouringarts?sd=1

Sadly, you are too late for the revival of our much-missed Burns Night supper. Held on Saturday 28th January at the Community Centre, we welcomed just over 120 merrymakers for a most enjoyable evening which incuded a three course meal, a piper, the traditional speeches, a raffle, and all topped off with a session of Scottish dancing (or at least, something that approaching that!). Why not save the date for next year: Saturday 20th January 2024!
