Last Saturday, 8 January 2022, we held the official opening of our new Hall. We were very lucky with the weather, the rain held off and the sun even came out for a brief period! We were joined by MIke Amesbury our MP, Charles Fifield and Paul Williams, two of our CWaC councillors, Ruth Downes who represented the Brian Wilson Charitable Trust, one of our main donors, several Scouting figures, and many supporters and parents. The Explorer section had prepared a selection of cakes and bakes, washed down by tea and coffee – also glasses of fizz for those of use who were old enough!

The ribbon-cutting was done jointly by Mike Hornby, perhaps our oldest known ex-group member, and Daniel, our youngest Beaver. Well done to them both!
