It’s been all go this week, mostly inside, but at least the accessible toilet now has some plumbing and a soil stack! In fact, the first fix plumbing has been completed and pressure tested, and the electricity cabling is in and ready.
But most effort has been concentrated on the roof. Now that the first fix has been done, Conrad and Jamie have been able to finish the roof insulation, and more battens have gone in ready for the plasterboard next week.
In addition, the external gable end has been rendered and is ready for painting. Conrad is then going to construct a half-timbered gable end, and for this he is planning to use timbers that have been retained from the original building – so that we can keep at least some of the history of our Hall.
