Scots Wha Hae!

On Saturday 19th January 2020, we celebrated the life of Robbie Burns at our 23rd Burns’ Night Supper. Held at the Community Centre, 121 of us gathered together for an evening which included our favourite piper Andy Paton,  an Address to the Haggis from Rob Smith, a 3-course meal, a musical interlude from two of our Explorers, speeches from James Baines and Jacquie Williams, all concluded with some traditional Scottish dancing led by members of Northwich Scots. Most of all, we had fun! Where else in Weaverham could you get such an evening for £20? And in addition, we also raised a very significant sum which will go towards our long-term project to redevelop our Scout Hall. So thanks to everyone who attended. Why don’t you join us next year?

The Community Centre is ready to receive our guests …
Waiting to start. The anticipation is building!
Where is our food?
Rob Smith addresses the haggis (freshly caught in the morning) whilst piper Andy Paton watches on….
Two of our Explorers (aided by one of our more elderly leaders!) provide an excellent musical interlude….
And now for some dancing!
