Doesn’t time pass quickly! Here is a quick update on some activities this year:
Camp 2019: this year, we returned to Beaudesert Activity Centre, near Cannock Chase and we welcomed Cubs and their leaders from Hartford to join us. All sections enjoyed participating in a varied programme, including high ropes activities, fire-lighting and hiking.
Autumn Quiz: on the 28th October we held another one of our Autumn Quizzes in the Scout Hall. We sold 65 tickets and everyone enjoyed the Quiz, once again set by Mike Hornby, and a 2-course meal. Why not join us next time?
Burns Night Supper 2020. Next year our Burns Night Supper will be held on January 18th 2020, as usual at Weaverham Community Centre. Tickets will be £20 per head; these evenings are always great fun and include a 3-course meal complete with piper and haggis (vegetarian options are available!), the speeches, and dancing.
