Uniform

Scouting is a uniformed organisation, as described below:

Beavers

The Beaver uniform consists of a turquoise sweatshirt worn with the group scarf (known as a ‘necker’) which is royal blue and white. Navy cargo trousers are also official uniform. There is also a polo shirt that can be worn in the summer, although the badges only go onto the sweatshirt.

Cubs

The Cub uniform consists of a green sweatshirt worn with the group scarf (known as a ‘necker’) which is royal blue and white. Navy cargo trousers are also official uniform. There is also a polo shirt that can be worn in the summer, although the badges only go onto the sweatshirt.

Sea Scouts

Sea Scouts wear a uniform consisting of official light blue shirt and navy cargo pants. We wear a blue and white neckerchief which can be bought from us, which is knotted; a tradition of the group.

Explorers

As we are a Sea Scout Unit we normally expect our Explorers to wear the blue Sea Scout shirt, with the navy blue activity trousers.  The exception to this rule would be an Explorer who is already working with a different group as a Young Leader and already has the beige Explorer Shirt.  Our official neckerchief is the Mid Cheshire District Royal blue necker with the Wyvern on the point.
The unit has also chosen to have their own identity when taking part in district events and this is a black hi-vis neckerchief.  The neckerchiefs should be purchased through the leaders and the shirt and activity trousers can be purchased through the scout shops.
